Learn about innovative solutions and projects supporting
the energy transition in Southeast Asia

The last ASEAN Ministers of Energy Meeting on November 2020 did launch the ASEAN Plan of Action and Energy Cooperation (APAEC) Phase II: 2021-2025.

Under this plan ASEAN aims to achieve significant energy goals such as:

  • - Renewables: "ASEAN will aim to achieve its aspirational targets of 23% share of RE in Total Primary Energy Supply and 35% share of RE in ASEAN installed power capacity by 2025 through deploying large-scale renewable energy systems (...)".
  • - Energy efficiency: "reduce energy intensity by 32% in 2025 based on 2005 levels and encourage further energy efficiency and conservation efforts, especially in transport and industry sectors (...)."

Innovative and flexible resources such as energy storage systems and smart energy management technologies among others can also be explored as levers to accelerate energy transition.

Through this three-webinar series we aim to present efficient and mature solutions that can support energy transition in Southeast Asia, achieving grid stability and renewables development.

Webinar 1 - Achieving a competitive, clean, and reliable energy supply through microgrids and hybrid powerplants.

In this webinar, Energy Pool representatives will use two concrete business cases to show how our optimization platform can ensure microgrids economic efficiency, power reliability and resilience. Finally, we will demonstrate how our platform creates significant value for hybrid powerplant developers.

Webinar 3: How energy flexibility is key in the quest for a sustainable business plan towards Energy Transition?

Backed by a 10-year experience in energy flexibility management for large end-users (steel, cement, aluminium etc.) Energy Pool launched «The Active Factory» program aiming to provide energy-intensive industries with proven expertise and technology to implement their decarbonisation strategies.
In this webinar, through presentations from Energy Pool representatives and concrete business cases presentation, we will present how we can support industrial in achieving their energy transition.

Agenda
- Presentation : The Active Factory approach
- Focus 1 : Smart control and flexibility valorization
- Focus 2 : Electrification (furnaces, steam boilers...)
- Focus 3 : New flexible assets (H2, Heat recovery ORC, on-site renewables, batteries...)
